I'm beginning to say my goodbyes to the Willamette River Valley. My appreciation for the beauty here seems compounded by our late summer weather, and northern light. Here are some views from my latest evening walk and blackberry snacking with Luna.

Yarrow is in abundance around the property, as are blackberries which
I was too busy eating to take any photos of. |

Mary's Peak, also known as Chintimini, a sacred mountain to the Kalapuya who believed One's spirit dwells at the summit. I know it has taken my breath away too many times to count, and has been a predominant part of my landscape for three years. Chintimini is the highest peak in the Oregon coastal range.
