Gloaming with Chintimini

I'm beginning to say my goodbyes to the Willamette River Valley.  My appreciation for the beauty here seems compounded by our late summer weather, and northern light. Here are some views from my latest evening walk and blackberry snacking with Luna.
Yarrow is in abundance around the property, as are blackberries which
I was too busy eating to take any photos of.
Luna, always happiest when able to roam.
Mary's Peak, also known as Chintimini, a sacred mountain to the Kalapuya who believed One's spirit dwells at the summit.  I know it has taken my breath away too many times to count, and has been a predominant  part of my landscape for three years.  Chintimini is the highest peak in the Oregon coastal range.
View of the Mt. Hood from summit of Chintinimi
Another vista from the summit, pointing toward the pacific ocean.

the tributary of a nomadic snacker

I find myself with little to say and a disorganized mind this blog. I'm in the midst of moving, which has always been a loathsome task for me. That said, summer is indeed here in the Willamette valley, I'm enjoying the long stretches of sunshine, sleeping under trees, eating a bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables and of course appreciating my time in Oregon.

An accidental image.  The color and movement seems akin to my feeling this August.

Luna, post dash thru the wheat.
Shade sails at the Pickathon, an incredible festival of music, local foods, camping and hiking.
